In a gravelled courtyard, with a stone balustrade and dense trees visible in the distance, three riders have gathered: in front, an older boy in a cap, jacket and tie, sitting on a full-sized horse; behind him, a young boy, also in a cap, riding a small pony; and on the right, a lady in a dark riding habit and a round hat, seated in a side-saddle. Around the horses' hooves, four black-and-white terriers circle and sniff one another, while in the background a groom, only partly caught by the frame, can be made out.
The photograph's own caption reads: "158. Maria Krystyna Tyszkiewiczowa wyrusza z dziećmi na spacer konny (Landwarów, 1902); fot. ze zbiorów Zofii Potockiej" — that is, Maria Krystyna Tiškevičienė, already familiar from several exhibits in this exhibition (No. 17, 36–37, 50, 59), setting out for a ride with her children. The photograph is held in the same Zofia Potocka archive in Warsaw that exhibit No. 55 also comes from. Interestingly, the terriers at the horses' feet look exactly like the ones in the 1904 photograph at the stable gate (exhibit No. 70) — most likely the same pack of dogs, favourites of the estate, accompanying the family across several years.
In the animation, the older boy and his horse move straight toward the camera, until his face and the horse's head fill the whole frame, while his mother and younger brother remain in the background; the terriers keep calmly sniffing one another. Like the other photographs in this group, this one too stays uncoloured — only the approach itself comes alive.
