This view is a drawing by Napoleon Orda, lithographed by Alojzy Misierowicz, showing the Lentvaris manor estate from the southeast, 1875–1877. On a low rise by the lake stands the palace with its tower and flag; in front of it, a sailboat and a rowing boat carry people across the water; to the right, beyond the trees, stands another estate building with a tower and an ornate gate topped with a horse sculpture. The drawing was transferred to lithographic stone by the artist Alojzy Misierowicz (1825–1905), who over his career lithographed 260 of the more than a thousand views Orda created, published in eight series of the album "Album widoków historycznych Polski" (1873–1883, printed in Warsaw at Maksymilian Fajans's lithographic workshop). Unlike the other Orda drawing in this exhibition, this view reached a wider public as a printed lithograph rather than as a single watercolour.
The animation shows how the manor of that time might have looked if photographed with a modern professional camera — letting you look at 19th-century Lentvaris as though you were standing there yourself, camera in hand.
