The same staircase as in exhibit No. 52, but seen from above — a fragment of the hall's upper level, with a moulded cornice and dentil frieze along the ceiling, wall panelling, two dark-metal lanterns, and a marble balustrade beyond which the stairs descend. In a wall niche, on a pedestal, stands another marble bust in classical style — this time of a woman. To the right, a massive wooden door carved with a geometric pattern. Together with exhibit No. 52 (the same staircase hall, seen from below), this photograph gives a fuller picture of Lentvaris Palace's grand reception space after the Neo-Gothic reconstruction initiated in 1899 by Vladislovas Tiškevičius (exhibits No. 38, 44, 50) — before the war changed the palace's fate (see exhibits No. 18, 19, 25).
The animation zooms in on the wall bust's profile — the camera drifts slowly closer, as though the viewer were examining a fine detail of the sculpture.
