The tower you can climb again

For years the tower stood silent – without a clock, without visitors, visible only from afar, above the treetops and the mirror of Lake Graužis. It was the manor's silhouette, but not part of the manor.

Today everything is different. The tower's façade has been fully restored, and its inner staircase now leads all the way to the top, out onto a small balcony – from there the manor, the park and Lake Graužis look completely different than from the ground. The only thing still missing is the clock. Its place on the dial is empty for now, but like everything else here, that's temporary.

Price and its source

How the visit price is set

  • This price isn’t freely chosen – it’s set under a Real Property Cultural Heritage Protection Agreement No. AS-22, signed 22 December 2016 with the Cultural Heritage Department under the Ministry of Culture.
  • The agreement requires that public visits to the manor cost €15 per person – exactly what the tower ticket costs today.
  • The tower’s restoration was funded by the European Union – a grant of €673,491.18 was allocated specifically for renewing the tower, the roof and part of the façades, as well as restoring the windows and exterior doors.
  • The ticket price covers only the tower visit itself.
  • A guide isn’t included in the price – it’s an optional add-on that can be booked together with the tower visit.
  • The ticket grants entry to the tower and its interior spaces, but doesn’t include visiting other parts of the manor.
